Before you put your new landscape project on your credit card, click here for a tip on how to save yourself several thousand dollars in interest.

I have to admit, I had to be married for twenty-nine years before the landscaping bug finally caught me. Now that I'm at the point where I can kick back a little, I actually have time to do more than just walk through my yard on the way to the car. Now I actually have time to relax and enjoy it.

Thus, with my new found love (the other one being my beautiful wife) giving me a new sense of pride, I bring you this little website, one that I hope will help you to enjoy your home and yard the way you should be able to enjoy it.

Landscaping requires physical labor, and after years of sitting behind a desk, I have to tell you, the sore muscles and aches are well worth what you get in return. The sense of accomplishment is more than anything I ever felt at any day job I ever had. If you are a busy person, find the time to work in your yard. Landscape it to fit your personality, and to help you find your own personal peace. You'll be a better person for it, and I'm sure the neighbors will love it too.

Two Unique Landscaping Ideas

Driving through the typical suburban neighborhood might convince you that no one has any new landscaping ideas. You might see nothing more than home after home with close-cropped green lawns, and a few well-placed flowers and shrubs along the front of the house. Sure, this "standard issue" method of landscaping is far short of hideous, but it really isn't particularly unique, either.

If you are looking for landscaping ideas that are a bit more interesting, you might want to consider a butterfly garden or a landscaping plan based on fragrant flowers. There are landscaping ideas that will help your home stand out as something original in a green sea of sameness. Two very interesting landscaping ideas are butterfly gardens and the use of fragrant plants.

Butterfly gardens involve the positioning and planting of flowers that tend to attract a large number of butterflies. Not only are the flowers beautiful in their own right, but the butterflies add a gorgeous living component to the yard, making this one of those landscaping ideas that are perfect for those who have a great appreciation for natural beauty. Everyone loves the idea of a beautiful flower garden. The butterfly garden captures all of the same attractiveness while adding an additional element that really makes it stand out as something special.

Another of the more unique landscaping ideas you are likely to encounter is the carefully orchestrated use of fragrant plants in the design of your yard. Usually we think of landscaping a purely visual form of expression. By focusing on fragrant plants, one can add an olfactory element to the yard. There are not many landscaping ideas that can satisfy multiple senses at once, but fragrant plants are one way of doing just that. The attractive plants will satisfy your sense of aesthetics while simultaneously providing an enjoyable aroma.

There is nothing wrong with having a bright green lawn just like the neighbors', but sometimes you want to do something to make yourself stand out a bit. If you are searching for a unique way to differentiate yourself from the other homeowners in your area, you might want to consider either of these interesting and unique landscaping ideas. Butterfly gardens and fragrant plants are two spectacular ways of doing something out of the ordinary, yet highly attractive, with your outdoor space.
